The most AMAZING religious times were the Strengthening, the Shift, etc... the times when allegiances changed and stuff happened. I loved the Geth story that went on as well.
Of all the sytems, my favourite time of all... was the neutrality-with-leanings system that I think was about a 3-7-3 split as Maelgrim suggested.
What about returning to that system with the intent of more (like once per RL year) where the allegiances get rocked/shifted around. That way there there is some rules/code in place to prevent gear whoring, keeps things fresh, gives players some way of inputting (through their RP and actions) of changing the religious landscape.

Sure, I got a secret. More 'n one. Don't seem likely I tell 'em to you now, do it? Anyone off Titan colony knows better than to talk to strangers. You're talkin' loud enough for the both of us, though, ain't ya? I've met a dozen like you. Skipped off-home early. Minor graft jobs here and there. Spent some time in the lockdown, but less than you claim. And you're, what, a petty thief with delusions standing? Sad little king of a sad little hill.

I've said before in another thread somewhere that I would have preferred if some of the gods were in completely different pantheons. Like, Set, Gethsemane and Bast are all in one pantheon and their followers believe them to be the only true gods, with those other demi-gods simply claiming to be gods, but are lesser creatures. While Bilanx believes himself to be the only true "god" and the others are simply splinters of his perfectly balanced self. They are lesser beings. Like his children. His stupid, stupid children.
Then everyone gets to be a heretic to some other cleric's gods.
Of course that's not how Thresh is designed. I say give us a demon to worship! Let some of the other gods return to the Forces and let new deities rise! And who says they have to be gods to be worshiped? |

Wretched, ephemeral race, children of chance and tribulation, why do you force me to tell you the very thing which it would be most profitable for you not to hear? The very best thing is utterly beyond your reach: not to have been born, not to be, to be nothing. However, the second best thing for you is: to die soon.

Personally, while I love the pantheon that Threshold has, and did have, I think there is still to many deities.
Easiest solution is to get Deokoria to just switch religions. That should shrink the Aether
